Martinsried near Munich, 23 April 2009 - SHS VIVEON, solution provider for
end-to-end Customer Management, is realizing a best-of-breed Customer
Management infrastructure program for the ecommerce enterprise buch.de.
Following an analysis and evaluation of the requirements, UNICA has
been awarded the Campaign Management contract and SPSS Clementine the Data
Mining contract.

buch.de internetstores is one of the largest online booksellers in the
German-speaking region. Customer Management that establishes a
value-oriented relationship with the customer along the lifecycle is seen
as a relevant measure that pushes profitability, in particular in
e-commerce and trade. Furthermore, it is a strategic factor in respect of a
company's permanent growth in the end customer business.

To implement the program consistently, underlying technical, analytical and
content conditions need to be created that pose a challenge in terms of
their complexity. To this end SHS VIVEON has developed a best-ofbreed
total solution with buch.de that meets the requirements of an medium-sized
enterprise in respect of outstanding performance in all elements and boasts
an attractive cost-benefit ratio. As part of the tender,
UNICA was awarded the contract for the Campaign Management, Oracle has been
chosen as the Data Warehouse platform, MicroStrategy for Reporting and SPSS
in respect of Data Mining.

By way of close collaboration with the suppliers, SHS VIVEON and the
buch.de team have been implementing a total solution since October 2008
which, on the basis of a lean project plan, is geared towards
active implementation of the Customer Management after just 10 months at
the end of June 2009.

'By way of the goal of a low time-to-market, we aim to realize an early ROI
for buch.de for the entire project. SHS VIVEON has proved a competent
partner in respect of project planning and implementation as well as IT
integration,' says Cord Henrik Schmidt, CFO at buch.de. 'We received
comprehensive support too in selecting the individual components of a total
solution and have a best-in-class solution for the Multi-Channel
Customer Management in the form of UNICA. We were therefore able to launch
initial campaigns as pilot projects during implementation.'

'Companies such as buch.de in particular, which establish contact with
their customers via many different communication channels, benefit from the
functional range of Unica's Campaign Management solution. Customers'
information behavior has changed, they now move effortlessly back and forth
between online and offline channels. We support buch.de in approaching
customers individually via the respective appropriate
communications channel. Marketing campaigns can therefore be implemented in
a more targeted and effective way,' says Ruben Bru, Director Unica Central.

Stefan Gilmozzi, Member of the Board of Directors of SHS VIVEON and
responsible for the consulting business DACH adds, 'We are pleased that we
have succeeded in implementing a tailor-made solution for buch.de in such a
short space of time. It forms a solid basis on which to create permanent
growth and has already proved successful.'
