Martinsried, February 5, 2007 – O2 Germany, a subsidiary of Telefónica O2
Europe and part of the Spanish telecommunications group Telefónica S.A.,
has decided to use SHS VIVEON’s mobile marketing platform (MMP). This
platform offers O2 the technology foundations to implement cross-media,
dialog-oriented customer campaigns to develop and market mobile marketing
solutions.

Kai Kalchthaler, Head of the Business Intelligence Center CRM at O2 in
Germany: 'We have scrutinized the entire market for mobile marketing
solutions and services, and identified SHS VIVEON’s platform as being the
solution that best meets our requirements. The fact that we have enjoyed a

equipped to face current and future challenges when implementing our mobile

By deciding to use SHS VIVEON’s mobile marketing platform, O2 has taken the
next, consistent step as an innovative pioneer for mobile marketing.
The key factor behind the decision was that, O2 believes that the platform
offers the best support for realizing O2’s own technical vision. The
platform includes all of the functionalities needed to implement innovative
mobile marketing ideas and cross-media campaigns. In addition, it allows
interactive marketing solutions and campaigns to be marketed to business
partners.

The BIC CRM business unit, led by Kai Kalchthaler, will use the platform to
drive the design and realization of new, interactive forms of marketing in
cooperation with O2 product marketing. O2 can use the expertise amassed by
SHS VIVEON’s 'Interactive' division for everything to do with developing
and implementing new services. This division focuses on mobile marketing
solutions and services as well as marketing automation.

The platform’s strengths include, in particular, multi-channel and dialog
capabilities, which support all of the relevant contact channels: e-mail,
SMS, MMS and WEB, WAP, IVR, call center and letter. The platform allows
push and pull services, highly personalized customer approach, and
device-specific optimized presentation of all digital content (film, image,
text, audio). The platform leads the market in this regard.
In connection with the marketing automation functionality and the Web-based
campaign evaluations and statistics in real time, O2 benefits from a highly
functional tool for customer-oriented, individualized approaches: something
that O2 values highly. The integration phase for the mobile marketing
platform will be completed in just three months.
