Swisscom is the leading telecommunications company and one of the leading IT companies in Switzerland. Outside Switzerland, Swisscom is also present in Italy with Fastweb.
Flat on strategy optimization The particularly sustainable and innovative company offers business and private customers mobile communications, a landline network, Internet and digital TV and is one of Switzerland’s largest IT services providers. It provides for the construction and maintenance of mobile and landline infrastructure, broadcasts radio signals and is also active in the banking, energy, entertainment, advertising and healthcare sectors. Its approximately 17,000 employees generated sales of CHF 2,860 million in the first three months of 2019.
The common goal of Swisscom and SHS Viveon was clearly defined: to create a high-performance environment for the technical optimization of application decision processes. We identified the considerable volume of applications and the enrichment of the original application data with performance data as special challenges.

“As part of a proof of concept at the beginning of 2019, we demonstrated that SimCo offers significant added value in terms of strategy optimization. We no longer make adjustments based on guesswork, and we have no need of complex analyses to evaluate the impact of an adjustment on the automated application decision. A simple simulation run with SimCo gives us reliable information about the impact of a change and documents whether the change affects the applications for which we wanted to modify RiskSuite’s decision behavior through the adjustment.”
