Faster, more efficient, future-proof: SHS VIVEON helps Kabel Deutschland optimize its data warehousing

Munich, February 16, 2012 - SHS VIVEON, business and IT solution provider for complete customer management, is working with Kabel Deutschland on a comprehensive project to optimize its data warehousing. Consolidating all of its databases will provide the cable network operator with a uniform, consistent view of all relevant key figures, and will enable stored data to be analyzed even more swiftly and on a cross-functional basis, in the future. As a result, Kabel Deutschland will benefit from reliable decision templates, and its customers will also enjoy more individual levels of care.

Kabel Deutschland, Germany's largest cable network operator supplies approximately 8.7 million households with a range of television, internet and telephone-related products. The company has grown strongly in recent years and has established new service areas, resulting in a number of diverse databases and systems that have rapidly become overstretched. Kabel Deutschland has therefore decided to consolidate its databases into the Oracle Exadata platform, with its vastly increased capacity and performance.

In implementing this consolidation, the cable operator is putting its trust in SHS VIVEON's many years of data warehousing experience. The business and IT solution provider is providing the company with support in planning and implementing the consolidation of the data from various systems within the company as a whole. The result will be a unified platform offering a comprehensive view of relevant information and thus enabling swifter and more reliable decisions to be taken for all aspects of management control.
